About the High School
Welcome to Shrine Catholic High School. We are a college-preparatory, co-ed high school located in Royal Oak, Michigan.
Rooted in the Catholic tradition, Shrine Catholic High School challenges students to integrate their academic, athletic, and artistic potential as future Christian leaders. For over 70 years, Shrine Catholic High School has provided faith based education to Royal Oak and surrounding communities. Shrine Catholic High School is a four-year, parish, college preparatory, co-educational high school founded in 1941 that educates students from preschool through twelfth grade.
Shrine Catholic High School resides on a 17-acre campus, across from the renowned William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan.
Our Students Body
Approximately 270 students are enrolled in Shrine Catholic High School. A placement exam and transcript/report card review are required for admission as well as a student profile form from previous school. Our student body represents students from diverse backgrounds and dozens of public and private grade/middle schools throughout the metro Detroit area. Our students have enrolled from 35 grade schools and reside in 52 different zip codes. Shrine is also home to a dynamic International student base with students from China, South Korea, Vietnam and Guatemala.
The student-to-administrator/professional staff/faculty ratio is 7:1 and the student-to-faculty ratio is 10:1.
