Royal Oak Arts Council Scholarship
$1,000 Scholarship Deadline is 4/10/17.  Applicants must be a senior attending a Royal Oak School and must have decided on a major or minor in Fine Arts at the college level.  The applicant must reside in Royal Oak or perform in Royal Oak.  Applications can be found in the counseling office.

2017 Aspiring Nursing Scholarship

Lincoln Scholarship Program
Oakland County students write an essay about “What makes America great?”  The winner of the contest will win $1,000.  Applications must be submitted on ocrplincoln.org by May 15, 2017 to be considered.

Polish Legion of American Veterans
Applications can be found in the counseling office.  Deadline 4/7/17. Several grants in the amount of $1,000 each will be awarded by the Polish Legion of American Veterans.  To be eligible for the Scholarship Grant the student must be:  a high school senior; college student; or trade school student and under 25 years of age.  The Scholarship Grant to be awarded based on the following:  scholastice achievement, individual contributions to school and communtity, character and essay.

Royal Oak Chamber of Commerce Scholarship
Applications can be found in the counseling office.  Deadline 3/31/17. There are three essay questions to fill out.

Black Note Scholarship
$2,000 Smoke-Free World Scholarship.  Application deadline is February 28th.  Students must write an essay.  Applications and more information can be found on www.blacknote.com/scholarship

Realtor Scholarship
The REALTOR Scholarship Fund provides financial assistance for high school seniors attending a Michigan of Higher Learning.  Applications can be found in the counseling office.  Deadline is March 20, 2017.

MSGCU Scholarships

Michigan Retailers Association
$1,500 Scholarship or $1,000 Scholarship.  Application Deadline: April 1, 2017.  Students are encouraged to apply online through MRA’s website at www.retailers.com To be eligible, the student or his/her parent must be employed at a business that is a member of MRA.

Bloomfield Hills Financial Scholarship Challenge
Trading Starts February 6th.  Trading Ends April 14th.  Each student is given access to an online trading account where they try to earn the most money, starting with an initial capital of $100,000.  The game play is hosted by the third party site, www.stockmarketgame.com Good Luck.

Court of St. Brigid Scholarship Program
Contest qualifications:  Must be a practicing Roman Catholic, who is Irish or of Irish decent through either parent, or who is legally adopted by such.  Be between 17 and 23 years of age.  Have completed the official Biographical form and submit a $20.00 entry fee along with it.  Have submitted all entry forms by February 11, 2017 to the chairperson:  Maureen Kelly – 16560 Levan Livonia, MI  48154.  313-475-7405.  Appear before the committee for an interview on Saturday, February 11th, 2017 at 1:00pm, AOH Hall. The David Barnes Scholarship

Michigan State University Alumni Scholarship

AES SCHOLARSHIP
AES Engineering is pleased to be able to continue offering scholarships to motivated students to help in the furthering of their education.
Scholarship Criteria
1) Our belief is that achieving a high grade point average should not be the only criteria for determining who deserves to be helped. For that reason we are offering a scholarship that will be awarded on the basis of character, as determined by an evaluation of the essays that are submitted.
2) Scholarships are intended for our future leaders across a wide spectrum of fields of study. This award is available to high school seniors and all students attending a post secondary educational facility.
3) You are not required to be taking Engineering courses to be eligible.
How to Apply
Students must submit an essay of between 500 and 1000 words in answer to the following question:
When you look back on your life in 30 years, what would it take for you to consider your life successful?  What relationships or accomplishments will be important on this journey?

The Cooke College Scholarship
Scholarships can open doors for students who might not be able to afford college, and the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation provides one of the largest scholarships in the country for high-achieving students with financial need.
Over half (54 percent) of the students who won the Jack Kent Cooke College Scholarship last year had taken the PSAT/NMSQT® and were discovered through Student Search Service®.
The Cooke College Scholarship seeks out underrepresented students of all races, backgrounds, and ethnicities using the PSAT/NMSQT.
The Cooke College Scholarship:
• Offers up to $40,000 per year for four years of undergraduate study at any accredited college or university
• Can be used toward total cost of attendance, not just tuition, room, and board
• Supports study-abroad programs and internships
• A chance to receive $50,000 a year for graduate study, up to four years
Your students can put their artistic vision on display for the opportunity to earn a scholarship to SCAD, the university for creative careers. Challenges are open to current juniors and seniors in high school as of the 2016–17 academic year. Entries must demonstrate creativity, innovation and a strong understanding of aesthetics. A panel of SCAD faculty will review and evaluate submitted entries, and three winners will be selected from each category.
