Mrs. Armstrong explains, “We have a dynamic, college prep, co-educational institution that not only prepares students for college, but allows them extraordinary opportunities to be involved leaders in the classroom, on the field, on stage or in the community. Our students excel in managing a rigorous academic load while balancing the demands of numerous extracurricular activities to round out their high school experience.”

Conveniently located in Royal Oak, students in grades seven through twelve enroll from 35 different area grade schools. The school offers sixteen AP and Honors Programs and several outreach partnerships. Beaumont Hospital provides a Med Bio class and Lawrence Technical University offers a Dual Enrollment in Engineering.

In addition, students can take advantage of more than two dozen extracurricular activities, like Future Problem Solvers, Robotics, Quiz Bowl and Pro Life Club as well as numerous sports programs from football and lacrosse to basketball and volleyball. In fact, almost 70% of all students participate in a varsity sport. And in 2015, the school’s comprehensive offerings resulted in 13 students winning 28 Regional and two National Art & Writing Awards.

Says Armstrong, “We lay the groundwork for success here at Shrine. 100% of the class of 2014 were accepted to college with 9 million dollars in scholarships. They are now attending 33 different colleges in 14 states. Our environment is unique and we invite you to learn more at our Open House.”
