Shrine Schools Unified School Board
The Shrine Unified School Board (USB) was established 16 years ago. Its purpose has always been to create policy and oversee recommendations that are consistent with the strategic, long-term planning of the Schools.
Over the years, the USB has assisted in a number of important School efforts from accreditation to construction of the Field House and recently, the New Family Referral program designed as a tuition reduction plan and recruiting tool.
The USB is made up of Parish members, school parents and industry experts. They use their experience to help impact marketing, financial and operational goals. Helping to ensure the sustainability of a Catholic education here at Shrine is the USB’s guide in all its efforts of “Planning for Change.” Contact the USB: email@example.com.

This is Chris’s fifth year on the USB. He welcomed the invitation to join because he wants to stay involved in his children’s educational future at Shrine. He has worked in the automotive business for 17 years, primarily in sales and program management with Tier 1 suppliers. He’s worked abroad in Sweden and Germany and is using his business acumen on the USB’s marketing sub-committee. Chris and his wife, Christine, live with their four children in Royal Oak. Their kids attend Shrine Catholic Grade School and Academy in grades 5, 6, 8 and 10.
Bill believes education is an important ministry of the Church and a parish. A retired automotive executive with experience as CEO, COO and CFO in a number of domestic and international operations, last year Bill brought tremendous insight and enthusiasm to his role on the USB’s marketing and finance sub-committees. This is Bill’s fifth year serving on the USB and he is heading the finance committee which will positively affect the school system’s financial health. A graduate of John Carroll University and Case-Western Reserve University, Bill has also served on the boards of many for-profit and non-profit organizations. Bill is a parish member and lives in Birmingham.
This is Veronica’s third year on the USB. She joined the USB to become more involved in the future of Shrine Schools and support the community. Veronica has been an HR professional for over 12 years. Married to Kevin and has two children in Shrine Schools in 11th and 7th grades and a 2016 Shrine Catholic High School graduate. This is Marguerite’s second year on the USB. She served on the grade school parent advisory committee for the prior two years and co-chair of the grade school cultural committee. Marguerite attended Catholic schools 1-12 grade and has a passion for Catholic education and being involved in the continuing development of Shrine’s educational and service outreach to the community. Marguerite and her husband Jim were married at Shrine 20 years ago and share a love for the Shrine community. They have four children and 3 are currently attending Shrine schools. She graduated from Miami University with a B.S. in Marketing and worked for 14 years with Kelly Services Inc. and Direct Sourcing Solutions. She focused on new business development, customer service, sales and human resources. It is an exciting time to be a part of the USB with the strategic planning process and new evangelization promoting the Catholic spirit and strength of the Shrine campuses and parish life.
This is Matt’s fourth year on the USB, although he has an additional year of experience with the Marketing/Communications subcommittee. Natalie and her husband, Preston have a son, Henry, in the 10th grade at the high school and a daughter, Georgia, in 6th grade at the grade school.
This is Molly’s second year on USB. As a professional writer and editor, Molly felt that she could lend a hand to the Marketing Committee in crafting and fine tuning marketing messages about Shrine Schools. She currently works full-time as a proofreader at ES3 and is a college essay coach, helping students from all over Metro Detroit prepare their college application essays. As a parent of two Shrine students and one Shrine alumni, Molly values the Catholic foundation Shrine provides, and the stellar college prep curriculum present from K-12 grades.
