Shrine marches in St. Patrick's Day Parade

The National Shrine of the Little Flower Basilica's Father John Bettin was joined by a host of families and a float from Shrine Catholic Grade School in the annual Royal Oak St. Patrick's Day Parade March 15, 2025. Father Bettin was named the Royal Oak St. Patrick’s Day Parade Honorary Grand Marshal.

"Fr. John was chosen because he has dedicated his life to faith, service, and the community, embodying the very spirit of St. Patrick,” said Parade Chairman and former Royal Oak Police Lt. Al Carter. “He also represents the values of St. Patrick with his unwavering commitment to helping others, which makes him a perfect choice for this honor. We are so excited to have Father John Bettin as our 2025 Honorary Grand Marshal.”
