Senior wins Gold Key in Drawing and Illustration

Shrine Catholic High School senior Lauren McCann earned a Scholastic Gold Key in Drawing and Illustration—one of the highest honors in the region. Her incredible piece, "Standards," will now advance to New York City for the National Scholastic Art & Writing Awards competition.

The organization hosts the nation’s "longest-running, most prestigious recognition program for creative teens. We celebrate creative teens regionally and nationally with awards, exhibitions, publications, and scholarships," according to The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards program.

Lauren McCann's achievement is outstanding, and Shrine is so proud of her talent and dedication.
