The Shrine Catholic High School girls soccer team brought home a Catholic League Championship with a hard-fought 3-2 win over Ann Arbor Greenhills May 17.
"What makes our team special is that we are truly a team," said coach Mark Soma. "We have A LOT of good players. And we work together. Winning the CHSL championship is very difficult in any division, but especially in ours, because we are playing D2 and D3 schools that are much larger than us. I am super proud of this team since last year we really should have been, at very least, playing in the finals. This year they wanted to show they were truly the best team. We still have more team goals and more to work for. But our next goals will be just as difficult."
