Personal Statement Every 7th Grader in the Academy will take P.E., and it is offered as an elective for 8th Grade. In the High School, all freshmen will take a required Physical Education and Health class. There is also an Advanced Physical Training class offered to interested upper classmen. My class is designed not only to be fun, but also to be immediately impactful to each student. My goal with the Physical Education and Health curriculum is to help with individual skill development and personal growth and to instill a love for a healthy lifestyle. Additionally, when students discover new abilities and have positive team experiences, it results in increased confidence in themselves and social interactions.I may be new to Shrine this year, but I was quickly made to feel like part of the family. I have always enjoyed teaching middle school but was drawn to the prospect of working with high school students. Now I get to do both!
