Why I Like Teaching at Shrine
I am thrilled and humbled to be teaching at Shrine right across the hall from the very second grade classroom in which I once sat as a student. Many years have passed since my second grade days, but the heart and soul of what it means to be a Shrine Knight remains the same. The staff and students alike take pride in the work we do together to strive for excellence in academics, and to live out our mission to allow our faith to guide us "in all we do and who we are."
It has been my honor to teach over 300 successful students in my years at Shrine, and I look forward to many more children of God gracing my classroom in the years to come. I am so extraordinarily proud of the accomplishments of my two daughters, both Shrine Catholic High School Alumni. The Catholic education they received at Shrine schools has earned both girls academice honors and college scholarships and instilled in them life-long faith in God. Shrine is a school, a parish, a community, and a family. When I count my blessings each day, being a Shrine Catholic Grade School teacher is at the top of the list.
