Personal Statement

My philosophy of teaching middle school math is centered on fostering a deep understanding of mathematical concepts, developing problem-solving skills, and creating a positive learning environment that encourages students to engage with math with confidence and enthusiasm. I emphasize the importance of understanding the "why" behind mathematical concepts, not just the "how.” I encourage students to explore and make sense of mathematical ideas, in addition to building fluency with algorithms.
