Physical Education & Health

The FITNESS FOR LIFE program has four objectives:

  • Acquire knowledge about the benefits of physical activity to health and wellness
  • Acquire and use self management skills to promote lifelong physical activity
  • Become physically active
  • Become an independent decision maker to plan his/her own personal fitness program

Physical Education Activities include (but are not limited to):

  • Self assessment fitness tools
  • Cooperative games
  • Basketball
  • Team Handball
  • Pickleball
  • Soccer
  • Volleyball
  • Lacrosse
  • Floor Hockey
  • Weight Training
  • Golf
  • Softball

Health Topics include (but are not limited to):

  • Choosing healthy foods
  • Stress Management
  • Cardiovascular Fitness
  • Benefits of Physical Activity
  • Basic Principals of Strength

Coursework includes three days of physical activity and two days of classroom instruction.
