Welcome to the Parents’ Section of our website. We have developed this site as a way to improve communication with you and provide resources you may find useful. All forms, documents and any other information regarding the current school year will be found in this section of the web site.
Parents are the backbone of Shrine Schools. Dedication to your kids, their education and Catholic faith is why our community continues to grow and prosper.
The purpose of the Mothers’ Club is to enhance the Shrine community through our service, concern, and commitment.
The Mothers’ Club is comprised of a board of four elected officers, approximately 50 chairpersons, and 25 committees that provide fundraising, service and social connections for our community. Together, we assist the school administration and staff, enrich student educational opportunities, promote social events, and hold fundraisers.
The Mothers’ Club newsletter is distributed via email and meetings occur every other month in the Shrine Parish Conference Center.
There are a wide range of flexible time commitments available during the day, evening, and weekends. Because many hands aid in the success of our committees, all are encouraged to play an active role in the Shrine Catholic Grade School Mothers’ Club, and help advance the welfare of the children in our school.

The Administration from the Grade School, Academy and High School would strongly recommend that families plan to quarantine the week after this weekend.

Bins will be in each classroom from Tuesday, January 19th to Friday, January 29th. Please put the adult size donations in your H Period classroom’s bin. Reminders………………..
A note of health and safety from Mr. Mio:
Shrine HS and Academy Parents and Students,
Please continue to be vigilant and monitor your child’s and your family’s social interactions outside the home, particularly on weekends. We know that college communities have experienced rapid COVID-19 spreading when students have continued to socialize freely and ignore precautions including wearing masks/face coverings, hand-washing, keeping social distancing, etc. In order to support our hybrid in-person instruction and activities at school, we must stress the need for students and their families to encourage limiting exposure to others with social gatherings. We thank all our parents for partnering with us in this critical effort. Please remember we are a community of faith and will make every effort to safely educate and grow together as a school community as well. God Bless,
James Mio

We are a service organization with a long history of providing labor and resources to events and programs at Shrine Catholic High School and Academy. The Dads’ Club contributes to the Master Plan and supports the school with scholarships and funding for athletics, the yearbook, the Observer Newspaper, the Spring Musical, the Music Department, and all the various clubs and student organizations. We supply not only financial support but manpower for a wide variety of student activities.
We help keep the interscholastic teams staffed with supplies and work to improve the facilities that help make Shrine sports teams successful every year. Working together, Shrine Dads display an active example of Catholic charity and fraternity, contributing to the successful education of our Sons and Daughters. We also work outside of the school at parish functions such as the annual Dream Cruise Party and the Annual Christmas Tree Sale. These two events alone raise a large percentage of the operating capital raised by both the High School and the Grade School Dads’ clubs to help “Enhance the Student Experience” in the Shrine community. We donate our time and skills to make Shrine a better place for our children, at the same time having a good time and forming great friendships.
Every year we are looking to increase the participation of the Dads throughout the Shrine Schools. With greater participation comes not only a wealth of ideas, but greater opportunity to make the “Shrine Experience” better for the entire student community. Please come join the Dads in “Enhancing the Student Experience”. Show your kids that they are important enough for you to invest a few more hours of your time making “Their Shrine Experience” better.
In the immortal words of David Macker (Past Shrine Dads’ Club President) – “It’s For The Kids”.
Membership information:
“Dads, if you have a child attending Shrine Catholic HS, then you are a member of the Dads’ Club. If you’ve never been to one, come by to a meeting, meet some great dads, hear about all the ways in which we support the school and have some food and beverages.”
Meetings are the first Monday of each month (unless a holiday) at the Berkley American Legion (South side of 12 Mile Road between Coolidge and Woodward). Food and social time 7:00 pm with the business meeting at 7:30 pm. Join us and enjoy yet another great part of the Shrine community.
